Mystery Book Lovers’ Club February 2018

After nearly two hours of discussion, we have our 2018 reading list through October! Thanks to those who did the heavy lifting by making the tough decisions. I was sorry to miss the meeting, but enjoyed time with family so it’s all good. Thanks especially to Marie-Susanne for hosting and Rebecca for compiling and forwarding the list to everyone. We’ll start with Human Acts by Han Kang during our February 15 meeting.

Also this month: awards season!

Here’re some links for more great reading as recognized by readers, writers, and authors because there’re never enough good books on our TBR lists!

The Mystery Writers of America (MWA) announced the 2018 Edgar Allen Poe awards, honoring the best in mystery fiction, non-fiction and television published or produced in 2017. The nominees can be found HERE. The winners will be announced in April 2018.

Bouchercon‘s 2018 Anthony Award nominees haven’t been announced yet, but three MWA Midwest writers are up for a Barry Award, to be announced during Bouchercon.
